We aspire to build an ecovillage community in Leeds based on the principles of ecological sustainability, co-operation and inclusivity.
There are currently more than 50 people in Leeds developing the idea of an urban Ecovillage. We want people to be able to access great quality, attractive and affordable homes in a pleasing environment with green spaces for relaxation and growing food, and a real sense of community. We are making this happen, and the group will be looking for land throughout Leeds in the coming weeks and setting up a company to manage the process.
We hope a large number of people with a breadth of backgrounds will be involved in this project, and see this as vital for its success. If you are interested in the project, please join the relevant mailing list (easiest way to join is to email

Alternatively, come along to one of our monthly meetings - which are not so regular, so have a look at the Common Place events calendar (link to your right) for the date of the next meeting!
