Common Conversation offers free conversational English classes to asylum seekers and people of refugee status. Meeting every Saturday from 12-4, the lesson runs from 1-3 followed by a shared meal and socialising.

As well as providing an opportunity to learn English, the group has become very popular as a social space where the students can make friends and improve their confidence using English and get involved in running the project.

Classes are each monday, starting at 20.30 sharp and finishing between 21.30 and 2200.
We teach simple and effective techniques with a view to enabling people to recognise and avoid threats as well as to physically defend themselves.
