Discussion, information, food, chat and action on climate change... Come and talk about what we can do/what's already happening about climate change practically, politically, socially, locally and nationally in friendly and informal surroundings.
We open at 6.45pm, with about an hour of talk/discussion/workshop from 7pm then a cheap, delicous (vegan) meal and plenty of time to discuss and chat over a cuppa.
Climate Chaos Cafe happens every second Wednesday throughout most of the year...see you there. If you'd like to host or help do a Cafe, or you have an idea for a topic you'd like to see included, please get in touch - no experience required!
Climate Chaos Cafe aspires to open doors for discussions on issues that affect all of us, so we can learn from each other. It's a space where we can increase our understanding of the causes and implications of climate change, and what can be done to tackle them - and meet others with similar concerns. It is less about experts and more about sharing knowledge and information in an open and comfortable environment. We also try to focus on what can be done locally, linking global issues to local campaigns and groups that aim to address them. We aim to include a wide range of climate-related topics, and hear from people and groups working in different ways.
Help is always welcome with setting up, cooking and clearing up: CCC is a collaborative effort from all who are there. It's also a great way to find out what is happening around climate change issues in Leeds and meet lots of other people. Come along anytime after 5.30pm to help cook. It would be great to see you there.
